What is a tandem cylinder in a hydraulic seal

There is a kind of hydraulic cylinder, which is called tandem hydraulic cylinder. That is, a cylinder with multiple pistons connected in series on a piston rod is a cylindrical metal part that guides the pistons to perform linear reciprocating motion in them. DSH seals tells you that it is mainly used in printing (tension control), semiconductors (spot welding, chip grinding), automation control, robotics and other fields.

So, what is a tandem hydraulic cylinder in hydraulic seals?

The tandem hydraulic cylinder in the hydraulic seal is also called the booster cylinder. It is composed of two single-piston rod hydraulic cylinders in series, and its oil circuits are related. When the pressure oil is simultaneously input into the left chamber of the second cylinder, the tandem piston moves to the left, and the oil in the right chamber of the second cylinder is discharged at the same time.

Since the same side of the two pistons bears the action of oil pressure at the same time, which is equivalent to increasing the effective area of the piston, the thrust of the booster hydraulic cylinder is said to be equal to the sum of the thrust of the two hydraulic cylinders.
