1. Hydraulic cylinder seals-dust seal
Cylinder seals can be used as dust-proof seals, which are the key to protecting the normal operation of hydraulic sealing equipment. When external pollution invades, it will not only wear the seals, but also wear the guide sleeves and piston rods, affecting the function of hydraulic valves and pumps, and damage device. When the dust is severe or to protect other sealing elements, a special dust-proof seals is usually used, which can remove surface dust without damaging the oil film state on the piston rod.
2. Application of (hydraulic) cylinder seals in various fields
The dust-proof ability is related to the tightness of the contact. The tighter the contact, the better the dust-proof ability, but the greater the frictional resistance. The dust-proof seal of the cylinder seal is mostly rubber, pneumatic machinery is mostly felt, the hydraulic cylinder of airplane and cold zone uses metal to deal with the external icing of the piston rod, and the chemical machinery department also uses metal to prevent adhesion on the piston rod.
3. Common contact conditions between the lip and the shaft surface
The contact between the lip and the shaft surface directly affects the dustproof effect and lip wear. Obviously there are several common contact situations, among which the normal contact state includes thin oil film, good dust-proof effect, and less wear; when the contact surface is too tight and the contact surface is wide, the contact angle is changed and the lip tip is raised. The dust-proof effect is poor, and the frictional resistance is large, the lip contact is insufficient, and the friction is not large, but it can not play the role of dustproof. This will form a sealed leak condition.
