DSH Seals tells you that the auxiliary seal in the rubber seal is one of the elastic parts. From the cross-sectional shape of the rubber auxiliary seal, it can be divided into O-type seal (O-rings), rectangular seal

(square seal, gasket), V-type seal (V-rings) , Wedge type seals (wedge rings), trapezoid seals (seals with a

ladder section), as well as covering gaskets or covering O-type seals.

What kind of sealing effect (function) can the rubber auxiliary seal play?

Its function is to ensure the sealing effect between the sealed shaft and the moving ring and between the

static ring (gland) and the static sealing ring, compensate the partial vibration of the sealing surface, and

ensure the sealing effect between the dynamic sealing ring and the end face of the static sealing ring.

The tight fit and has a certain degree of buoyancy.

So what kind of sealing materials are used for auxiliary seals?

The common sealing materials of auxiliary seals are various rubbers, polytetrafluoroethylene, flexible

graphite and metal gaskets. Different seal materials can be selected according to different working

conditions.
