What Is A Hydraulic Cylinder

Sep 11, 2021

Hydraulic cylinder is a hydraulic actuator that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and performs linear reciprocating motion (or swing motion). DSH Seals tells you that the hydraulic cylinders in hydraulic seals are simple in structure and reliable in work. When it is used to achieve reciprocating motion, the deceleration device can be eliminated, and there is no transmission gap, and the movement is stable.

Therefore, it is widely used in various mechanical hydraulic seal systems. The output force of the hydraulic cylinder is proportional to the effective area of the piston and the pressure difference between its two sides; the hydraulic cylinder is basically composed of a cylinder barrel and a cylinder head, a piston and a piston rod, a sealing device, a buffer device and an exhaust device. The buffer device and the exhaust device depend on the specific application, and other devices are indispensable.

The hydraulic cylinder in the hydraulic seal is one of the executive sealing elements in the transmission system of the hydraulic seal. It is an energy conversion device that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy, and is generally used to achieve reciprocating linear motion.

The classification of hydraulic cylinders in hydraulic seals can be classified according to the mode of action of hydraulic seals. There are two categories: single-acting hydraulic seal cylinders and double-acting cylinders.

A hydraulic cylinder that does not only move in one direction under the action of pressure oil is called a single-acting cylinder. The return stroke of the single-acting cylinder must be realized by the self-generation of the moving sealing element or the action of other external forces (such as spring force). The hydraulic cylinder whose reciprocating movement in both directions is realized by the action of pressure oil is called a double-acting cylinder. The most commonly used hydraulic cylinder is the hydraulic cylinder with piston type hydraulic seal.
