How to distinguish between double lip oil seal and single lip oil seal
May 06, 2022
The double-lip oil seal has two lips, the inner one is used to seal the oil, and the outer one is dustproof. Double-lip skeleton oil seal refers to two lips, sealing and dust-proof, which can be used in the working environment with dust and impurities.
The dust-proof lip can prevent dust and impurities from entering the cavity, so as not to damage the sealing lip and make the sealing lip lose its sealing effect. Such as PTFE B-type oil seal, full Teflon double sealing lip, suitable for high pressure up to 30bar, good filling rate, good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, widely used in hydraulic motors, hydraulic components and other applications.
The single lip oil seal has only one oil sealing port, which is used to seal oil. Single-lip skeleton oil seals refer to those with only a single sealing lip, and are mainly used in environments with little dust and impurities, such as indoors or in oil tanks. Such as single-lip A-type PTFE oil seal, full Teflon single sealing lip, low friction resistance, widely used in windmills, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, engine crankshafts and other applications.
