What does the demand for seals come from

Oct 13, 2021

The demand for seals comes from the fact that two mechanical equipment parts (components) need to be connected in the industrial field, and the two machine equipment body parts require strict and high-requirement sealing technology. The part that needs to use the seal is between the sealing surfaces of two mechanical equipment parts. Since the two mechanical parts are relatively static and dynamic, sealing technicians think that this can be a simple classification to divide the seals into two major categories: dynamic seals and static seals.

Of course, the above are only two ways of classification. DSH Seals further subdivides the seals according to the materials of the seals, the installation methods, and the sealing specifications.

Static seal subdivision

First of all, the static seals include non-metallic static seals, which specifically include: O-rings, gaskets, and PTFE seals.

There are semi-metallic seals mainly including: combined seal ring.

Of course, there are metal static seals such as: metal seals, and liquid static seals: sealants, etc.

Dynamic seal subdivision

The other is the subdivision under dynamic seals. Among them, compact seals include: O-ring seals, slip ring combination seals, special-shaped seals, etc.

There are also self-tightening seals including: V-rings, U-rings, combined seals, V-shaped combined seals, lip seals, etc.

Mechanical seals include: mechanical seals.

Oil seals include: rotating skeleton oil seals, high-pressure oil seals, rubber oil seals, etc.

In addition to the above, there are dust-proof seals including: dust-proof ring, frame dust-proof ring, etc.
