Description
U-cup rod seals BA is a compact seal design for hydraulic applications. Due to its symmetric design, the seal can also be used as a rod seal.
The O-ring guarantees the pre-loading of the seal lips, even under low pressures or vacuum. Due to the good setting behavior of the elastomer O-ring, this pre-loading is largely constant. As system pressure increases, compression of the sealing edges rises due to the pressure-dependent deformation of the seal profile.
The sealing force is basically independent of temperature changes, and even a certain degree of wear will ensure the necessary pre-compression. The lip is loaded due to the increase in system pressure, and this system pressure is transmitted to the lip through the O-ring that is deformed under pressure.
