Introduction Of Hydraulic V-ring Of Nitrile Rubber

Nov 06, 2021

For a good water seal, the properties of hydraulic materials include good weather resistance, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and ozone resistance. Generally, the combined sealing water seal specification material must have good elasticity and wear resistance. , compression resistance is not high, permanent deformation is not high, high temperature resistance, etc.

The hydraulic V-ring works on grease-lubricated bearings, and it is handed over with water, dirt, dust and other media during operation. The sealing material usually selected for water seals is nitrile rubber, but in the industrial application of life sealing, there are many types of oils, and there are different additives in the oil, which will affect the performance of the rubber. Therefore, choose the appropriate V-ring materials according to the actual application.

There are generally two commonly used hydraulic V-seal sealing materials: nitrile rubber and fluorine rubber. Under normal circumstances, the material should be nitrile butadiene rubber with good comprehensive mechanical properties of hydraulic seal and strong oil resistance. The application temperature of water seal under normal working conditions exceeds 120℃, or under chemical medium conditions, fluoroelastomer can be selected. Secondly, other water seal materials can be selected under special customer requirements.

Nitrile rubber is the most widely used in oil-resistant sealing products, and O-rings, oil seals, and water seals are widely used. It has good oil resistance, heat resistance and abrasion resistance. Note that it cannot be used in phosphate ester hydraulic oils and gear oils containing additives. The rotating end surface water seal seal ring is made of DVA nitrile rubber, which can be used in most bearings and can be used as a secondary seal to work in harsh environments that are mainly prone to failure. The function is to prevent external dust, powder, and water.

For seals used in automobile brake fluids, the environment cannot be at a high temperature, which will cause the rubber to age and shorten the service life. If the water seal exceeds the maximum allowable temperature, the rubber may suffer permanent damage. In addition, in the low temperature area, if the temperature is lower than the recommended value, the rubber will be hard and brittle, but once the temperature rises again, its performance will be restored.
