Product Classification Of Engineering Plastic Material Seals

Jan 10, 2022

Engineering plastic sealing materials can be divided into general engineering plastics and special engineering plastics. The former mainly includes five general-purpose plastics: polyamide, polycarbonate, polyoxymethylene, modified polyphenylene ether and thermoplastic polyester. Or mainly refers to engineering plastics with heat resistance of more than 150 degrees, mainly polyimide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyvinylidene, aromatic polyamide, polyarylate, polyphenylester, polyaryletherketone, liquid crystal polymer and fluororesin, etc.

1. General engineering plastic sealing material: polyamide (nylon classification: nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 610, nylon 612, nylon 1010, nylon 11, nylon 12), polycarbonate, polyoxymethylene, polyphenylene ether.

2. Special engineering plastics: polyvinylidene, polyimide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyarylate, polyphenylene ether alum, fluorine pigments (divided into polytetrafluoroethylene, polytrifluoroethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride, poly vinyl fluoride).

The main performance characteristics of engineering plastics are as follows:

(1) Compared with general-purpose plastics, it has excellent heat resistance and cold resistance, and has excellent mechanical properties in a wide temperature range, so it is suitable for use as a structural material;

(2) Good corrosion resistance, less environmental impact, and good durability;

(3) Compared with metal materials, it is easy to process, has high production efficiency, and can simplify procedures and save costs;

(4) Good dimensional stability and electrical insulation;

(5) Light weight, high specific strength, and outstanding anti-friction and wear resistance.
