Rubber sealing material: characteristics of nitrile rubber

Hydraulic sealing materials of rubber seals Common sealing materials include metal

sealing materials, PTFE, synthetic rubber, flexible graphite sealing materials,

etc. Among them, synthetic rubber sealing materials include styrene-butadiene

rubber, neoprene, and silicone rubber. , Ethylene-propylene rubber, fluorine

rubber, nitrile rubber sealing material, etc. are all synthetic rubber sealing

materials.

The medium and characteristics of synthetic rubber "nitrile rubber" in the rubber

seal material:

The nitrile rubber of synthetic rubber in the rubber seal material is

the sealing material used for common rubber seals, because the nitrile rubber seal

material has excellent oil resistance and aging resistance, and also has good wear

resistance. Its performance is related to the content of acrylonitrile. The content

of acrylonitrile is high, so it has good oil resistance. Its strength, hardness,

wear resistance and water resistance increase, but its corrosion resistance,

elasticity and low temperature resistance deteriorate. The rubber seals are made of

NBR with high acrylonitrile content, and suitable nitrile rubber with high

acrylonitrile content should be synthesized according to the actual working

conditions of the medium.

Nitrile rubber has excellent corrosion resistance to mineral oils, animal and

vegetable oils, and aliphatic hydrocarbons, but it is worth noting that it is not

resistant to phosphate ester hydraulic oils, strong acids, aromatic hydrocarbons,

esters, ketones, ethers, halogenated hydrocarbons, etc. Abrasive media properties

of the media.
