Description

DAS compact piston seals is self-acting double-acting seals. After installation, the radial force acting on the elastic rubber seal is superimposed on the system pressure. This results in a total sealing contact force which increases as the system pressure rises. Even if there is no system pressure, a good seal can be achieved. A wide mounting surface also provides additional protection against shifting or twisting of the sealing element.

Comprised of NBR sealing element, two split guide rings, and two split L-shaped back up ring located either side of the seal, the well proven NBR sealing element is designed to be extremely wear resistant with multi-lips for efficient dynamic sealing with minimal low pressure friction and, when pressurized, will be protected from extrusion damage by the extending lips of the support rings.
