Description
Vee packing is highly adaptable sealing product. It is typically used in adjustable gland applications such as telescoping truck hoists, pumps and valves. Vee packing sets are composed of a top and bottom component with a varying number of center rings. Vee pack seals can be optimized by altering materials to accommodate different chemicals, temperatures and pressures.
Vee pack is a multi-lip seal consisting of a set of endless rings that are widely used for sealing rods and pistons. They are used in low pressure or high pressure applications as well as single or double acting cylinders.
Chevron v packing really are quite simple and effective. Generally they come with a male and female adaptor on the top and bottom of the set to provide a flat surface rather than a V.
It can be optimized by changing materials to accommodate different chemicals, temperatures and pressures. The pressure rings do the sealing. The number of pressure rings determines the amount of pressure they will contain.
