Description

Guiding tapes serve as bearings between the metallic components of the unit during piston stroke and in static conditions. They prevent metallic contact between pistons and cylinders or rods and glands where forces act perpendicular to the direction of movement. Wear strip tape is continuous, wound as a flat coil or spiral preform, and can be cut to any desired length.

Hydraulic guide tape is to guide the piston and piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder, as well as to withstand arising side loads. At the same time, it prevents any metal-to-metal contact, which will damage and score the surfaces and eventually cause seal damage, leakage and component damage. It is suitable for both fluid and pneumatic cylinder , higher temperature applications.

The low friction PTFE material reduces “stick slip” between moving parts. The material is compatible with hydraulic mineral oil, lubricating oil, water based and synthetic fire resistant fluids and lubricating grease. It has excellent heat resistance and strength to resist creep.
