Relevant Precision Test Report of Coal Mining O-type Oil Seal Products
Jun 09, 2022
In the sealing industry, there are strict inspection and control systems for the development, testing and production of a sealing product. So, what kind of test items are there for the O-type oil seal (referred to as O-ring) for coal mining machinery? The test items include the appearance quality of the seal ring, the inner diameter of the oil seal + the diameter of the section, the hardness, and the performance test of the rubber compound (tensile strength and elongation at break, hot air aging test, compression set rate, oil resistance, etc.).
*Precision test items for O-type oil seals for coal mining oil seals are:
1. Appearance quality inspection: oil seal, o-type oil seal
Appearance quality inspection can be carried out with reference to the provisions formulated by the national standard GB/T 3452.2-2007 (for reference).
2. Inner diameter, section diameter: oil seal, O-type oil seal
1. The inner diameter d1 of the O-type oil seal is measured three times with an SM flexible ruler or a precision diameter dimension (π ruler) (take the average value).
2. The diameter of the O-type oil seal is measured with a flat plate and a dial indicator or a micrometer and a vernier caliper with a division value of 0.02mm three times (take the average value).
3. Hardness test: O-ring
The hardness is measured with a Shore A type rubber durometer, which is uniformly distributed in three places along the circumference (the average value is taken).
4. Performance test of oil seal compound: O-type oil seal
1. Determination of tensile strength and elongation at break (refer to the national standard GB/T 528-1998 for determination)
2. Hot air aging test (refer to the national standard GB/T 3512-2001 for determination)
3. Compression permanent form rate detection (refer to the national standard GB/T 7759-1996 for determination).
4. Oil resistance test (refer to the national standard GB/T 1690-2006 for determination).
