Description
The function of a hydraulic wear ring is to guide the shaft and hole sealing of a hydraulic cylinder, absorbing transverse forces. At the same time, it prevents metal-to-metal contact, optimizing the performance of the sealing system. Guide rings are precision machined according to tight tolerance specifications on the radial section of the guide. Therefore, they optimize guide load distribution and limit radial misalignment of components for best seal performance.
These standard guide rings can operate dynamically either on their outside or inside surfaces and, therefore, can be used in piston or rod applications.
Guide Rings have the task of guiding the rods and pistons of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and preventing direct metallic contact with the cylinder housing. They must have the capacity to absorb strong transverse forces even over a short guide distance while keeping frictional losses low.
