Hydraulic POM Back Up Ring
To stop the o-ring from being extruded, a backup ring is fashioned to fit between it and the extrusion gap. You can utilize one backup ring or two backup rings, depending on the direction of pressure during the sealing application. When in doubt, it is best to substitute two backup rings for each o-ring.
